Last week Eric Dawson introduced us to new member Denzel Goolsby.
Being a teammate to others comes natural to Denzel after being a team captain and three-year starter as a defensive back for Kansas State University. During his tenure at K-State, Denzel was named Defensive MVP of the 2017 Cactus Bowl and ended his football career with 189 tackles, 4 interceptions and 11 pass break-ups.

Off the field, Denzel was First Team Academic All-Big 12 and a two-time recipient of the Big 12 Champion for Life Award, which is selected by the Big 12 Conference for leadership, perseverance, community service, and discipline. He was named a member of the 2019 Allstate Good Works Team - one of 22 student-athletes nationally recognized for leadership in their community. He also has been involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters since 2016.
While in college, Denzel met his wife, Katie who was a 4-year starter and team captain of the soccer team. Denzel graduated with a Business Sales degree and earned his MBA, a two-year program he completed in 11 months. After college, he began his professional career at Advisors Excel, a Financial Marketing Organization that works alongside independent wealth managers. Wanting to pursue entrepreneurship, he founded GOOLSBY’S - an entertainment venue and social experience right across from K-State’s campus that has a 30-tap self-pour beer wall, golf simulators, and duckpin bowling. He focuses on growth strategies and overseeing operations while leading a team of 20 employees. Outside of GOOLSBY’S, he leads business development projects for several independent organizations including the Bluemont Hotel, Advanced Medical Imaging, Family Centered Medicine, and Blue Mountain Capital. He moved to Omaha in August of 2021 with his wife Katie for her to begin graduate school at Nebraska Medical Center where she is studying to become a Physician Associate. While they haven’t had any kids yet, their golden retriever, Reba, is spoiled and treated like one.

Welcome, Denzel!
