Welcome Jake Olsen and Ross Olsen!

Two weeks ago George Morgan introduced us to two new members.

Jake Olsen is currently the Co-Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at AmpliFi, helping CEOs at small to mid-sized companies grow their businesses and reach their goals by tying together the key components of financial planning, budgeting, performance analytics, strategy management, and deal management.

Prior to AmpliFi, Jake has a decade of financial analysis, modeling, valuation, and capital project experience, working within the transportation industry. In his role as a Manager within the Treasury department at Union Pacific he leveraged his strong financial skillset as he led the valuation and analysis for a wide range of strategic opportunities for the company.

Jake is a current CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Charter holder, having earned the designation in 2016.

Degrees include:
Accounting/Business, Finance/Banking and Financial, Markets/Investment Science and Portfolio Management from the University of Nebraska at Omaha
Masters Degree in Accounting from the University of Nebraska at Omaha

In the rare times when Jake is not working for his clients, he enjoys reading, getting outdoors, swimming, water-skiing, sailing, and has been a member of the Lake Manawa Sailing Association and the Iowa-Nebraska Sailing Association for many years.

Ross Olsen has a decade of financial analysis, modeling, valuation, and capital project experience, working within the transportation industry. In his roles at Union Pacific he led projects involving the creation of predictive models, costing and profit analysis, and cash flow modeling of new and potential business. He has extensive experience in financial statement analysis, accounting, and budgeting. He worked closely with the company’s capital team to help them analyze new capital investment opportunities, facilities, and expansions.

Ross is a current CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Charter holder.

Masters Degree in Accounting

In his free time, Ross enjoys sailing, but there are a number of other interests such as reading, pool (billiards), swimming, camping, climbing, etc.
