Last week Ann Coyne introduced us to new member Karen Rolf.  Karen is an Associate Professor on the faculty at the Grace Abbott School of Social Work at UNO. She specializes in quantitative analysis and program evaluation.   Karen is a Chicago native and holds her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Illinois in Urbana Champaign and her Ph.D. from the University of Chicago.
 
Karen holds many board and advisory group memberships and is a member of the Human Capital and Economic Outcome Global Working Group led by Nobel Prize Laureate James Heckman.   Karen is an active volunteer and has provided equine therapy to grieving children and has been a hospice volunteer.
 
Karen is married to Mike and they have raised 4 biological children and 2 adopted children.  The youngest (who was adopted from Nicaragua) just graduated from Burke.  In her free time, Karen enjoys reading non-fiction, spending time with her dogs, gardening, and horseback riding.
