Many Rotarians enjoyed the District Conference exhibits, speakers, and events.  Past President Roxy Orr accepted several awards on behalf of the club for the 2014-2015 year on Friday night.  Suburban was recognized as Outstanding Large Club in the District, #3 Club in the District (based on a points system), received the Presidential Citation, and was #2 in Rotary Foundation giving in the District.  Nice job Rotarians! See more photos on Facebook by clicking here.

Thank you to Kevin Welsh/Morgan Stanley for holding a fabulous and fun After Hours. Jack Heidel won a BBQ set and golf balls and Vicki Kovar won the iPad mini!

A huge THANK YOU to all those who participated in this year's Brush Up Nebraska. We had many Rotarians participate throughout the week scraping, priming, and weed-eating. The house was painted in record time this year thanks to all our volunteers including a crew from Gerst Painting-thanks Mike! A special thank you to Dave Kerber who headed up this project for us and spent many hours out at the house with the prep crews.   Click here to see all our photos on Facebook

For the next 3 weeks members of the Military Affairs Committee will be sitting at the back table selling Savings Sidekick coupon books.  They are $20 and proceeds will benefit projects for area service people. In the past the MA committee has supported a Winter Wonderland event for families of deployed troops, a camp for children of soldiers with special needs, a holiday dinner for soldiers, etc.   You can also donate books to area military families by making a donation to the MA committee. Donations of $100 or more can be to the Suburban Rotary Charitable Foundation for tax purposes.
