Last week Jeff Bakewell and Jared Bakewell served as Greeters. Dave Kerber gave the invocation. We had several announcements and presentations. Roxy Orr recognized Lee Myers as a Rotarian that "Lights Up Rotary" for all his work on the a/v system with Anthony's this year. Secretary Nick Jasa and Fritz Stehlik handed out several article fines. John Quinn presented information on the scholarship program and recipients. Sarah Kalhorn-Wisecup spoke on the impact the scholarship program had on her life. The RISK bag was at $369 and Ann Coyne won a free lunch.
Last week Matt Darling presented a Charlene Tierney Citation to Judy Cline for her donation of $1000 to the Suburban Rotary Charitable Foundation. The Suburban Rotary Foundation supports our Scholarship program as well as other local and international projects.
Last week Souper Bowl Food Drive chair Holly Hollenbeck presented HyVee gift cards to Greg Kadrlik for the Salvation Army food pantry in the amount $1,542.93. This is about $400 more than last year. We staffed 7 hours with about 30 volunteers. Thank you all who helped and to Holly for heading up this project!
Last week Karl Schaphorst introduced members of the Omaha South Interact Club and their staff sponsor. The students conducted a "painted pinky" project and raised $210.50 for Polio Plus. Thank you students!

Thank you to Scott Cernik for setting up donation jars for Polio Plus at his After Hours last week and to all those who donated. $235.37 is being sent to the Rotary Foundation for polio eradication!

Our friends from Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital (John C. Glenn & Mary Gene Wepfer) will also be joining us in hosting this after hours. You are welcome to bring guests and we hope you enjoy touring our studio space.
Rotary Leadership Institute offers a leadership course in three full day parts (Parts I, II, III). Those completing each part are eligible for the next part. The courses are designed to provide Rotary knowledge and to develop leadership skills for voluntary organizations. Some examples of course sessions include "Rotary Beyond the Club", "The Rotary Foundation", "Membership Development and Retention", "Leadership", "Creating Hands On Service Projects", "Vocational Service", "International Service", "Analyzing a Rotary Club", "Creative Service" and other subjects.
The next session is Saturday, March 21st in Lincoln. If you are interested in attending, we have club funds to pay for up to 9 members to attend. Please contact Jennifer.
Mark your calendars for Thursday, March 26th for the Metro Rotary Networking Night. This is an event for Rotarians and guests from all over the metro area to socialize and promote your business. It will be held at Champions Country Club and a business booth is $75. Guests are welcome but only Rotarians may have booths. Please contact Jennifer or Leah Wurth to reserve your booth. This year Rotary International is providing colored pin backers to members who bring new members into the club. Last week Rose Mary Hefley recognized Walt Horner with a blue backer for bringing in new member Tracy Rowland.
