Major Donors 
Last week Past District Governor Roxy Orr recognized Alan and Janette Stanek as Major Donors Level IV to the Rotary Foundation for their donations of $100,000 to the Intl. Rotary Foundation.   The Rotary Foundation does work around the world to improve the lives of people.  Thank you Alan and Janette for your generosity!
 
Suburban Foundation Recognition 
Last week Foundation Trustee John Hoich recognized C.L. Landen for his donations to the the Suburban Rotary Charitable Foundation of $10,000 making him a member of the Executive Director's Club.    Donations to our local Foundation support our scholarship program, our District grant projects like meal packaging, projects for students in need, and many more things.  Congratulations and thank you! 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Paul Harris Recognition
Last week Intl. Rotary Foundation Committee Chair Scott Keep recognized Kathryn Schubert as a Paul Harris Fellow+8 for her donations of $9000 to the Rotary Foundation.  The Rotary Foundation supports projects around the world to promote peace, literacy, health, and disease eradication.

Attend the District Conference
The District Conference is coming soon.  Just a little over a month away on July 8th and 9th at the Hoff Family Arts & Culture Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The Conference promises Friendship, Learning, Fun and a Service Project! To view details and register, click here.
 
Come and share ideas, get energized, build friendships, have a good time and check out the amazing Hoff Family Arts and Culture Center.
 
For our “Service Above Self” service project, we will be serving a hot breakfast, courtesy of Hot Meals USA, to the homeless of Council Bluffs.  On the registration form you can sign up to volunteer to assist with the project both at the homeless shelter and at the Hoff Family Arts & Culture Center.
 
Children under the age of 18 can attend at no cost and special activities for them are being planned.  When you register them, please indicate in the question section their ages so appropriate activities are available.
 
REMEMBER: Connected to the conference are activities on Thursday, July 7th at Full Fledge Brewery in Council Bluffs.  An afternoon leadership training session that begins at 1 pm and ends at 4 pm and social activities that begin at 5:15 pm.  There is no cost for either of these activities, but please register for one or both so we know how many to plan for. A good time will be had by all.

Cemetery Clean-Up 
 
Prospect Hill Cemetery Weed Whackers 2021, Future Dates and Time
 
 
Want to help spruce up one of the oldest cemeteries in Omaha at 3202 Parker Street?  Below are the dates to come and pitch in for any period of time you can spare between 8 a.m. and Noon.  Bring your own work gloves.  If you have a rake, broom, weed-whacker or a favorite yard tool, please bring it and put it to use.  Any questions, please call Steve Scheuber 402-689-7669.  Volunteers at any of our service projects get a Rotarian at Work t-shirt.
