Suburban Scuttlebutt 12/24/15 (Dec 21, 2015)

On February 20th, Rotarians from Suburban, West, and Southwest Rotary Night Club will be packaging 30-40K meals for local food pantries on February 20th using a matching grant from District 5650. Mark your calendar to volunteer for a shift!

Meeting re-cap 12/17

Last week Bailey Feekin and Taylor Breen served as our Greeters. Rev. John Schaefer gave our invocation. We had many guests and visitors for our annual holiday luncheon. Everyone enjoyed entertainment by the Amazing Arthur. Thank you to Eric Dawson and the Fellowship Committee for organizing this luncheon!

Weather Policy

The Board met and voted today to cancel Suburban Rotary including Board/Yearlings meetings if/when the University of Nebraska at Omaha cancels classes NOT OPS. Please keep this in mind as we head into January. Also, if you are considering a make-up, please note that NW, West, Downtown, Morning, and North all cancel when OPS cancels and Millard cancels when Millard Public Schools cancels.

It's not too late to support the Rotary Foundation!

You can still get a 2015 tax deduction by making a donation to the Rotary Foundation at myrotary.org

The Rotary Foundation supports programs around the world to bring health, education, clean water, and disease eradication to those who need it most!
