Happy Thanksgiving

No Meeting

A Thanksgiving Day Prayer

Lord,

We humbly ask thy blessing on the turkey and the dressing, on the yams

and the cranberry jelly, and the pickles from the deli.

Bless the apple pie and tea, bless each and every calorie, Let us enjoy

Thanksgiving dinner. Tomorrow we can all get thinner!

For all the help along the way we're thankful, too,for all our dear ones, for

all the far away and near ones.

Although we may be far apart, we're together in my heart. Keep us in Thy

loving care, this is my Thanksgiving prayer.

P. S. Anyone who wishes may help with the dishes.

Last week Sabrina Jones and Madeline Moyer served as greeters. We had several presentations and announcements. Secretary Dave Laferla recognized November birthdays. Jack Hosking introduced Diane Battiato who talked about the responsibilities of the Assessor/Register of Deeds office. The RISK bag was at $523 and Ralph Williams won a free lunch.

Rotary Foundation Major Donors

Last week Herb Hartman made a special presentation to Rich and Tracy Rowland of recognition from the Rotary Foundation. Rich and Tracy were recognized as Major Donors which means their cumulative giving has reached 10,000 to the Rotary Foundation. Thank you for your incredible generosity over the years!

Rotary Foundation Month

In this 100th Anniversary year of the Rotary Foundation, the committee will also be recognizing all Paul Harris Sustaining Members (donations of $100 or more this Rotary year) with a special 100th Anniversary pin.

November is Rotary Foundation month! The Rotary Foundation is the charity of Rotary. Through Rotary grants, people around the world are served with educational opportunities, health services, clean water, vaccinations, and nutrition. We ask every Rotarian to consider a gift of $100 each year (Every Rotarian Every Year) toward these programs. Thank you to those who have donated this year already! The fastest way to donate is by going to myrotary.org or you can give a check to a committee member at Rotary.

Salvation Army Bell Ringing

It's that time again! We will be ringing bells at JCPenney Westroads on November 26th and December 10th. Please go to the calendar portion of our website and select the date to sign up.

Record numbers of Rotarians are registering for the Rotary Convention in Atlanta this summer including a large contingent from our club. Many of you have already reserved your hotel rooms (if you haven't- do so asap-they go fast!). The next deadline is convention registration. If you register by December 15th, the cost is $340. Keep the Kids Warm

Thank you to Marlene Sullivan and Lindley Clothing for hosting a fabulous After Hours last week. Many coats were collected and over $1700 was raised to take Crestridge students shopping for clothes.
