Last week Andy Goranson and David Jacobs served as our Greeters. Erin Cohrs  gave our invocation. We had several presentations and announcements.  Matt Darling introduced Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine who talked about the operations and cases his office handles.   The RISK bag was at $354 and Rich Craig won a free lunch. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Last week Marlene Sullivan introduced us to new member Jim Kapalis.   Jim is an Illinois native who graduated from Northern Illinois University.  After graduation, Jim joined John Deer and spent most of his career in the Ag Division's combine assembly facility in East Moline, IL where he held positions of increasing responsibility in Manufacturing, Production Engineering, and Product Development.  He retired in 2007 from the Deere World Headquarters from Global Supply Management.

 

Jim is an active volunteer in a variety of ways including serving as a Disaster Response Volunteer for the American Red Cross.   Jim is married to Diane and they enjoy traveling and have been to places such as Peru, Iceland, Australia, and South Africa.  Jim also enjoys time with his grandson, hiking, yoga, and shopping for clothes at Lindley Clothing.   Welcome, Jim!
