Last week Brian Mueller served as our greeter. Magan Smith gave the invocation. We had several announcements and presentations. Secretary Dave Laferla recognized January birthdays. Howard Epstein introduced Mary-Beth Muskin who talked to us about issues of discrimination and hate crimes in Omaha. The RISK bag was at $669 and Dino Paladino from Morning Rotary won a free lunch.

Rotary Foundation

Congratulations and thank you to those who have been recognized by Rotary Foundation Committee Chair Howard Epstein over the last two weeks for their generosity to the Rotary Foundation. The Rotary Foundation is the charity of Rotary. Through Rotary grants, people around the world are served with educational opportunities, health services, clean water, vaccinations, and nutrition. You become a Paul Harris Fellow with your cumulative donations of $1000 and then a PH+ Fellow for every $1000 beyond.

Congratulations to Byron Stigge for becoming a Paul Harris Fellow. Zoe Baumel and Bill Prout for Paul Harris +1 for donations of $2000. Scott Keep as Paul Harris +4 for donations of $5000. Cindy Kinsler, Carter Jones, and Curt Peters as Paul Harris+5 for donations of $6000. Bob Perrin as Paul Harris+6 for donations of $7000 and Tom Vann as Paul Harris +8 for donations of $9000.

In this 100th Anniversary year of the Rotary Foundation, the committee will also be recognizing all Paul Harris Sustaining Members (donations of $100 or more this Rotary year) with a special 100th Anniversary pin. (If you have not gotten your pin yet and have been at a meeting where we are handing them out, please let Jennifer know- we don't want to miss anyone!)
