Last week Karen Rolf and Mike Fosdick served as our greeters. Sabrina Jones gave our invocation. Secretary Dave Laferla introduced our guests and recognized birthdays and "brag for bucks". Ron Pearson introduced James Duran from Kreativ Element who talked to us about the marketing of Rotary. The RISK bag was at $923 and Jack Hosking won a free lunch.
Congratulations and thank you to the Rotarians who were recognized by Rotary Foundation Committee Chair Howard Epstein last week for their generosity to the Rotary Foundation. The Rotary Foundation is the charity of Rotary. Through Rotary grants, people around the world are served with educational opportunities, health services, clean water, vaccinations, and nutrition. Frank McGree became a Paul Harris Fellow +1 for his donations of $2000 to the Rotary Foundation and Bob Swartzbaugh became a Paul Harris Fellow +3 for his donations of $4000 to the Rotary Foundation.
Thank you to all the Rotarians, friends, and family who helped us package 27,465 meals for the hungry in Omaha. This was from a District Grant that Southwest, Suburban, and West Rotary Clubs obtained together. The meals went to Heartland Hope. A special thank you to Kristi Lyons from SW, Magan Smith from Suburban, and Brett Wawers from West for coordinating this event.
The booths for this event are sold out. You don't want to miss this chance to network and win great door prizes including gift baskets and Amazon Echo Dots. Invite your friends and co-workers!
The Membership Committee is conducting a contest between now and April 20th. The 8 members who bring the most guests to visit Rotary during this time frame will receive a special lunch (at no charge) with table service and dessert on April 27th! You know how much fun you have at Rotary- why are you keeping it a secret? Who do you know that would enjoy being part of our fabulous group? Bring them to check us out!
