In Memoriam
We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Rotarian Sabrina Jones.  She was vivacious, funny, full of life, and a joy to know.  She had just passed her one year anniversary of membership and many of us were blessed to hear her vocational at Yearlings last month.  She was an active community member who loved her family and was so proud of her young daughters.  She will be dearly missed.  The family will hold a private service and there will be a public Celebration of Life on Sunday, July 9th at 2pm at the Omaha Design Center.

Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.  Condolences can be sent to Rotarian Carter Jones and his wife Vernie at 1217 South 167th Street, Omaha, NE 68130.  Those wanting to make donations in support of Sabrina's daughters can do so at the Omaha Fashion Week website (click Get Tickets to make a donation)  https://omahafashionweek.ticketleap.com/sabrina/

Meeting re-cap 6/1
Last week Roxy Orr and Madeline Moyer served as our greeters.  Instead of an invocation, we had a moment of silence in honor of Sabrina Jones who passed away suddenly last week. We had several announcements and Secretary Dave Laferla and Hanging Judge Kevin Welsh handed out some fines.  Terry Ferguson introduced John Winkler who talked to us about local, national, and international water issues.   The RISK bag was at $67 and John Steier won a free lunch.

Suburban Foundation Recognition
Last week Lynda Dietrich, was recognized as a member of the Howard Vann President's Club by Trustee Chair Roxy Orr last week.   Lynda and her late husband, Dan, have been long-time supporters of the Suburban Rotary Charitable Foundation and have sponsored scholarships for many years. This recognition was in honor of their gifts of 25K to the Foundation.   The late Dr. Dan was a member of Suburban for many years and a Past Secretary who was known for his sense of humor. We thank them for their generosity and support of students.
