Meeting re-cap 1/19
Last week Mike Fosdick and Travis Sholin served as our greeters. Gary Piercy gave our invocation.   Secretary Dave Laferla recognized some Brag for Bucks and birthdays.   We also had Rotary Foundation recognition.   Kevin Welsh introduced Mayor Jean Stothert who talked about what has been accomplished in Omaha during her tenure.   The RISK bag was at $737 and Warren Hill won a free lunch.

Rotary Foundation
Congratulations and thank you to those who were recognized by Rotary Foundation Committee Chair Howard Epstein last week for their generosity to the Rotary Foundation.  The Rotary Foundation is the charity of Rotary.   Through Rotary grants, people around the world are served with educational opportunities, health services, clean water, vaccinations, and nutrition.   You become a Paul Harris Fellow with your cumulative donations of $1000 and then a PH+ Fellow for every $1000 beyond.

Congratulations to Fritz Stehlik for becoming a Paul Harris Fellow +1 for donations of $2000. Roger Groff, Nate Schwalb, and Lou Smetana were recognized as Paul Harris +4 for donations of $5000.  Mark Stokes as Paul Harris+5 for donations of $6000.

In this 100th Anniversary year of the Rotary Foundation, the committee has also been recognizing all Paul Harris Sustaining Members (donations of $100 or more this Rotary year) with a special 100th Anniversary pin.   (If you have not gotten your pin yet, please let Jennifer know- we don't want to miss anyone!)  Pictured below- those we recognized last week.
