Last week Terri Greenwood and Jeff Bakewell served as our greeters. Mary Bernier gave our invocation.   Secretary Dave Laferla introduced our guests and recognized birthdays and "brag for bucks".  We had several announcements and presentations.   Holly Hollenbeck led our 3 guests Kevin Welsh, Curt Peters, and Nick Jasa in a few rounds of "Rotary Jeopardy" so the membership could learn more about their fellow Rotarians.  The RISK bag was at $992 and Mary Bernier's son won a free lunch.

 

 

 

 

Last week Dave Wilson introduced us to new member Gitzy Loder. Gitzy works for Kidwell as a Business Development Specialist.   She concentrates on business phone system sales in Omaha and Iowa.

 

Gitzy was born in New York but both her parents are from Chile.   She was raised in Tulsa, OK and attended Oklahoma State.  She finished her degree in Public Administration from Washburn University in Kansas.  

 

Gitzy is married to Bobby and they have two young children.   In her free time, Gitzy enjoys photography, volunteering, and spending time with her family.  Welcome, Gitzy!

Volunteers are needed for 2 Service Projects on April 29th

 

We will be helping safely dispose of prescription drugs with Livewise and the DEA (3 shifts available)

We will also be helping with yardwork for Rebuilding Together Omaha (2 shifts available)

 

Grab your family and friends and sign up for one of these great projects! You can do this by clicking on the event on the calendar portion of our website or at the back at a meeting. 

The Membership Committee is conducting a contest between now and April 20th.   The 8 members who bring the most guests to visit Rotary during this time frame will receive a special lunch (at no charge) with table service and dessert on April 27th!  You know how much fun you have at Rotary- why are you keeping it a secret?  Who do you know that would enjoy being part of our fabulous group? Bring them to check us out!
