Last week Monique Devillier and Christian Kloster served as our Greeters.  Michael Wehling gave the invocation.  We had several announcements and presentations.   Howard Epstein introduced Mark Weber who talked about leaving a legacy with your money.  The RISK bag was at $453 and Bob Perrin's guest won a free lunch.   

 

In honor of Rotary Foundation month, Mark Weber and Kevin Welsh have donated the book "The Legacy Spectrum" to the club for the Rotary Foundation.  By making a $20 donation that the club will send to the Rotary Foundation, you can have a copy of the book. Last week to kick off November as Rotary Foundation month, we had a special presentation from Committee Chair Roxy Orr to Alan and Jeanette Stanek as they were recognized as Major Donors level 2 for their contributions in excess of $25,000 to the Rotary Foundation.  Thank you to them for their generosity! 

 

 

Our goal is for 100% of our members to make a donation to the Rotary Foundation this year.   The easiest way is to go to the rotary website at myrotary.org and create an account to give online.  A $100 donation makes you a 17-18 Sustaining Member. Cumulative donations of $1000 make you a Paul Harris Fellow.

 

The Rotary Foundation money we give comes back to us in the form of District and Global grants allowing to us to support local projects like the homeless foot clinic, meal packaging for local food pantries as well as international projects such as the girls' school in Afghanistan and the school for the Deaf in Nicaragua.

 

You can also bring a check made out to the Rotary Foundation to the meeting on Thursday and Jennifer will send it in for you. All first-time donors making a $100 donation will have it matched by the club.   

 

 

Congratulations to Connor Lund who received his permanent badge from Yearlings Chair Dan Lupardus last week for completing all his Yearlings requirements.  (And congratulations to Deanna Fuller who received hers two weeks ago as well- sorry no photo)
