Chair of the Day: Peggy Carrell
Last week Jennifer Katz and Mike Langford served as our greeters.  Jeff Bakewell gave the invocation.  We had several announcements and presentations.  Roxy Orr recognized Ed Walsh as the "Light up Rotary" member of the day and announced that we have been approved for another Afghanistan grant for Razia's school.  Secretary Nick Jasa introduced Joe Sequenzia as the "Rotarian of the Day".   Terry Kucera introduced Dr. Geoffrey Talmon who talked about the dying process. The risk bag was at $299 and Joe Sequenzia won a free lunch.

Congratulations to Nick Eastland- 30 years, Gregg Bailey- 1 year, Jack Heidel- 2 years, and Joe Sequenzia- 3 years who were recognized by Bill Wax for perfect attendance last week!

President-Elect Curt Peters just got back from the Rotary International Convention in Sao Paulo, Brazil. We look forward to hearing more about his trip from Curt at an upcoming meeting. He is pictured with our outbound exchange student to Argentina, Chase Dodge, and RI President Gary C.K. Huang.

Join incoming President Curt Peters and Secretary Kevin Welsh for a fun After Hours on June 25th to kick off the new Rotary year.
Please be sure to log in and check out the new attendance module on the website. The upgraded system now allows for make-ups to be entered and "banked" until they are needed. Make-ups will now be entered more frequently and you should have a more accurate picture of your attendance and where you need make-ups when you look online.

Please note that the new attendance software uses the Rotary International rule requiring that make-ups must occur no further away than two weeks before or two weeks after a missed meeting.   So a make-up on June 3rd is only good for a missed meeting until June 17th.

With online make-ups, credit for committee meetings, various events, and a club meeting every weekday in the Metro area, getting a make-up should be easy.   If you have any questions, please contact Jennifer.
As the Rotary and school year come to an end, the District exchange students are enjoying a bus trip around the U.S.
Baxter Kenworthy’s 4th Annual

100% of the proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the Suburban Rotary Club’s Charitable Foundation to provide post graduate scholarships for high school seniors with special needs.
