Last week Blane McCann and Scott Hahn served as Greeters. Jennifer Katz gave the invocation. Roxy recognized Jennifer Green as the "Light Up Rotarian" for all her work in our community. We had several announcements and presentations. Fundraising Chair Kathryn Schubert recognized the newest Scholarship Circle members and Jeff Bakewell recognized several Paul Harris recipients. David Jacobs introduced Kris Covi who talked to us about the Mustaches for Kids charity growing program. The RISK bag was at $769 and Joe Sequenzia pulled the ace and won half the money!
Last week Jeff Bakewell and Julie Livingston recognized Lyle Sapp, Jim Leslie, and Tom Adams for their donations to the Rotary Foundation.
Tom Adams was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow, which means he has donated at least $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation Annual Fund and/or Polio Plus. Tom states that he supports the ongoing work of Rotary International because it furthers the providing of good to mankind through its various programs that benefit those who need help.
Jim Leslie was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow +2. This means that Jim has donated at least $3,000 to TRF.
Jim states that he supports The Rotary Foundation because it embraces and underwrites the concept of “Service above Self”. Its' record in that regard is one to be praised and emulated.
Lyle Sapp was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow +7. This denotes that Lyle has donated at least $8,000 to TRF.
Lyle informed me that he made his initial donation to TRF because Charlene Tierney (our long time Executive Director, and predecessor to Jennifer) asked him, and you didn’t say no to Charlene. He has continued to give since that time because the money is used for worthy projects in the world that are being developed by Rotarians from good clubs.
Thank you to all those who donated to our Annual Suburban Rotary Charitable Foundation fundraiser. You are incredibly generous! We will continue to recognize President Scholarship Circle members until all have been recognized.

Sign up to help with Rebuild Omaha. We will be working on a house/yard at around 25th and Martha. We will be doing both outside work (rebuilding a retaining wall) and inside work (painting, repairing window frames,etc.) and all work will be led by skilled contractors.
No special skills required! Please bring your own tools-shovels, gloves, hammers, crowbars, etc.

Starting this week, volunteers will be at the back to take your reservation and payment for the Annual Scholarship Luncheon. This will be on Thursday, May 14th. This is our DO NOT MISS event of the year. You will leave inspired!

The annual luncheon where we show appreciation to staff from work has been moved to May 28th due to space restrictions at Anthony's in April. Please mark this date to bring someone to Rotary whom you want to appreciate. Details to follow.
15-16 Dues will stay the same at $295. If you are going to pay all at once, you will receive an invoice in May that will be due June 1st. If you would like to pay your dues monthly at $25 per month, automatic withdrawal forms are due by April 28th. This is a convenient, budget-friendly way to pay your annual dues. Withdrawals start two month ahead of the new Rotary year in May. Please contact Jennifer for a form or more information.
