Last week re-cap
Last week Michael Linder and Max Burbach served as Greeters.  Kevin Welsh gave the invocation. We had several announcements and presentations.  Dave Laferla introduced Erik Bird who talked about Saving Grace Food Rescue and how they take food at risk of being thrown away to provide meals to the homeless. The RISK bag was at $419 and Alan Stanek won a free lunch.

Friends of Suburban Rotary
Last week Jeff Bakewell recognized Nick Jasa, Cindy Kinsler, and Ryan Keiser as Friends of Suburban Rotary for their donations of $2500 to our local Suburban Rotary Foundation. Our local Foundation supports a variety of projects including matching our District and Global Grants as well as the $50,000 annually in scholarships for students with disabilities. Congratulations and thank you!
Suburban Rotary Foundation Fundraiser
We are conducting our annual Suburban Rotary Charitable Foundation fundraiser for the next several weeks. Our goal is 40K.  We ask every Rotarian to make a donation of any size to support all of our great projects.  Donors of $300 or more (pledge or cash) will be recognized as members of the President's Scholarship Circle.     Examples that your donations support are our global grants to Afghanistan and Togo, the homeless foot clinic, meal packaging, donations to veterans,  and support for Crestridge school. YOU make all this possible!   CLICK HERE TO DONATE ONLINE

Thank you to those who have already donated or pledged support this year! (Scholarship Circle members are in bold)

Last week we recognized many of our Presidents' Scholarship Circle Donors.   We will continue to recognize them throughout the fundraiser.  Thank you!

Come rake, sweep, pick up sticks and litter, weed whack and have some outdoor fellowship with our commitment to Prospect Hill Cemetery to keep tidy our Adopt A Plot at 3202 Parker Street.  Our first clean up after ol' man winter is Saturday, April 20th, 9:30 a.m.-noon.  Bring a friend, spouse, grandchild or your next door neighbor....yard skills are not judged so all are welcome.  Bring your favorite yard tool and work gloves if you can otherwise they will be provided.  There is an indoor bathroom on the premises. Sometimes there are homemade cookies.  We always see the improvements of the section of land we cleaned up.  We return every three weeks and get after it during the spring and summer growing season.  Please let Ward Peters know you would like to get a blister and help out.  (Future Saturdays after 4/20, include 5/18, 6/8, 6/29, 7/27, 8/7, and 9/14.)
